The Association of Language Schools (AJŠ) is the guarantor of correct and quality cooperation in the Czech language teaching market. We pride ourselves on the fact that our members adhere to the AJŠ Quality Code and Code of Ethics. When you choose a member school of the Association of Language Schools to work with, you are choosing a supplier that provides its clients with quality language teaching as well as other related services at a professional level.

What qualities do AJŠ member schools bring with them?

Qualified teachers

It is a rule that at least 75% of the teaching provided must be provided by qualified teachers, i.e. teachers with:

a university degree in language or pedagogy
in the case of non-language courses the teacher has a language certificate of at least C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference and a teacher training certificate of TEFL, CELTA, etc.

Effective Teaching Methods and Quality Monitoring

AJŠ member schools ensure that their teaching methods are relevant to the needs of today’s students and the world in which they move, and that courses are taught according to the current language needs of students and based on modern materials. At the same time, they regularly monitor the performance of their lecturers, give them feedback and provide opportunities to further develop their lecturing skills through their own training programme.

Organization of studies and measurability of results

AJŠ member schools take care of individual approach to each client and individual student. Before entering a course, the student’s language level is always tested and a framework goal is set, and progress towards the goal is monitored in continuous testing. Reassessment of the set goal in the context of changed realities is a matter of course.

Transparent and ethical behaviour

The AJŠ Code of Ethics commits its members to behave honestly towards clients – both in the initial setting of courses (conditions of study, possibility of complaint, price offer) and during the course of cooperation.

What are the certified schools of the Association of Language Schools?

By joining the Association, all AJŠ members have committed themselves to the quality of service they deliver to their clients as described above. AJŠ certification is then chosen by selected members as a way of declaring these qualities through an external certification audit, in our case by the Centre for Language Education at Masaryk University. They are therefore the most reliable partner for cooperation.
