What is the Association of Language Schools for?

The Association of Language Schools (AJS) is the professional association of language schools and therefore the guarantor of fair and equal treatment of language schools.

Those schools that are our members, or carry our certification, are guided by a code of ethics and a code of quality when moving on the Czech market, both towards clients and towards teachers. In short, we can tell you which language school is reliable and of high quality.

In addition to the above, we create a platform for methodological discussion and development, not only within language schools – these events are open to anyone who is interested in further developing themselves in the field of language teaching. We organise an annual conference on Modern Approaches in Language Teaching, which we supplement with workshops and webinars throughout the year. Take a look at the latest news!

Last but not least, we are an advisory voice in case of emergencies. If such a situation arises (think of the covid-19 pandemic), contact us. Our opinion will be based on a prompt discussion of experts who have been in the field of language teaching for years and have experienced almost everything.

What does it mean that a language school is a member of the AJŠ?

In order to be a member of the Association, a school must fulfil the quality code in its operations – both in terms of the appropriate professional training of the teachers it works with and the methodological background it uses in its operations. This is an internal process of the Association.

By becoming a member of the Association, the school commits itself to abide by the code of ethics of the AJŠ members – at the client, lecturer and competitive levels.

What does it mean that a language school is AJŠ certified?

AJŠ certification is another step by which a language school declares the quality of its services and cooperation. In the case of certification, this is backed up by an external certification audit, in our case by the Centre for Language Education of Masaryk University.

The language schools that are certified have passed the independent audit and have proven that they care about the quality of the teaching team they work with, both in recruitment and in the further course of cooperation. There is therefore no more reliable cooperation partner for a teacher than certified language schools.
